The Diagnostic Radiology Technician specialty is a qualifying educational program designed to train students to use radiological techniques in medical diagnosis and treatment. This program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work as technicians in the field of medical radiology. The students learn how to use various radiology equipment such as X-ray, MRI, computed tomography, and others. They also learn how to deal with the equipment, adjust and operate this equipment correctly, and analyze images. In addition, they learn how to provide direct care to patients during radiation procedures. Moreover, the students learn about radiological positions, how to place patients in the correct position and guide them through radiological procedures in a safe manner.

  • Radiology technician program allows the graduate to analyze and interpret radiological images to diagnose disease or injury through
    1. Writing reports and explaining the examination results.
    2. Handle medical equipment and devices.
    3. Using analytical skills for reading radiological images.
  • Working in radiology departments in hospitals and performing various radiological examinations such as: X-rays, MRI, ultrasound, CT scan, and others.
