21 September University of Applied and Medical Sciences is a leading government university, distinguished by being the first specialized medical university in the region. 21 September University of Applied and Medical Sciences was established on the eighth of Ramadan 1437 AH, June 13, 2016 AD, in accordance with the decision of the Chairman of the Supreme Revolutionary Committee No. (161) of 2016 AD. The university was established in response to the growing need for specialized medical education in the region. Since its inception it has witnessed remarkable growth in academic infrastructure and expanded its educational programs to meet the needs of students and the community.

The university currently includes 26 diverse academic programs, including four higher diploma programs, thirteen bachelor’s degree programs, and nine master’s degree programs. This diversity reflects the university commitment to providing a wide range of specializations that meet the needs of the local and international market.

As part of its academic expansion and development efforts, the university recently opened the Faculty of Dentistry, adding to a group of other specialized faculties. This expansion reflects the university commitment to providing comprehensive and diverse medical education that keeps pace with modern developments in the field of medicine and health sciences.

The university has also established many academic and specialized centers that aim to enhance scientific research and provide specialized services to the community. These centers contribute to improving the quality of education and clinical training of students, ensuring the graduation of high-level professional competencies.

The university currently has 9,217 students, which reflects the confidence of students and parents in the quality of education provided. To date, 2,135 students from various academic programs have graduated from the university, which indicates the university’s success in achieving its academic mission.

The university master’s programs include a variety of specializations that meet the needs of the local and international market, and contribute to the development of advanced professional competencies. The university continues to offer new and advanced programs that keep pace with global developments in the field of higher education.
