Midwifery Technician

21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences is a newly established, emerging and forward-thinking university that keeps pace and interacts with local, regional and international universities. The Midwifery Technician is an educational program specialized in the field of health care. The program aims to provide students with the necessary and basic knowledge and skills to assist women in all aspects of their health care during pregnancy and childbirth and to provide health advice and guidance regarding nutrition, activity, and general care for pregnant women. The students also learn how to assist women in the natural birth process and in the early stage from labor until the birth of the child with primary care for the child.

The duration of the program is 3 years

Capabilities of the Graduate

The ability to evaluate and care for women: The graduate must be able to evaluate women’s health and diagnose normal and pathological conditions related to pregnancy, childbirth, and the period Postpartum. The graduat should be able to provide comprehensive health care to women and apply the necessary medical protocols.
The ability to manage childbirth and deal with complications: The graduate must be able to carry out and manage natural births and deal with possible complications that may arise during childbirth. The graduate must be familiar with safe practices and medical procedures followed in emergency situations.
Health advice and guidance: The graduate must have effective communication skills to provide health advice and guidance to women on general gynecological care, including family planning, breastfeeding, proper nutrition and infant care.
Communication and Collaboration: The graduate must be able to communicate and interact effectively with women and their families. The graduate must deal with women with sensitivity and respect and build trusting relationships with them. Where they conduct research and publish scientific studies

Language and Translation Center

The Center of Languages and Translation is one of the components of the Deanship of Environment and Community Service, which adopts the standard of excellence in the fields of continuing education, training, qualification, and advisory services in a way that meets the needs of Yemeni society in its various segments. The center seeks to provide a quality and competitive service in the fields of teaching the English language and translation in light of the private sector’s takeover of these fields in a commercial and profitable manner. The center is primarily keen to provide its services on a national and professional basis in a way that serves the development of the skills of community members and in a way that reflects the pioneering role adopted by 21 September University for Applied and Medical Sciences. The center services target different sections of society, such as university students in various scientific specializations, high school graduates, school students at all levels of education, as well as public and private sector employees. Among the most important educational programs offered by the center are the TOEFL program in the English language (TOEFL), the English language diploma, and the English proficiency for medical purposes (OET) and (EMP) programs, in addition to strengthening and training courses related to the center interests and specializations. The center also provides all translation services with high professionalism and expertise that meet the needs of the labor market in all fields. In implementing its programs, the center relies on qualitative and modern education using advanced teaching methods and applying quality standards and academic accreditation by providing the ideal educational environment and attracting specialized and qualified professors with experience and high qualifications.

It is a matter of pride to introduce the Center of Continuing Education which is considered as the university window and its starting point. It is also considered an edifice that seeks to provide the nation with a distinguished elite of its graduates armed with knowledge and skill. Since its establishment in 2016, 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences believes in the mission it carries upon itself to provide the means of continuing education and to keep up with the refinement of skills and the acquisition of experience in various fields and specializations for students and members of the local community. The Center of Continuing Education was established with executive visions that strive to create educational and training bridges for all university students and their majors. The center was established in 2018 in the Deanship of Environment and Community Service to be the university arm in implementing its vision and investing in its scientific, human and material potential to contribute to the desired comprehensive development based on serving the university community, the local community and then the regional and international community, through providing technical and administrative consultation and advanced scientific training, and enhancing the capabilities of individuals and institutions alike in order to achieve this goal. The center is also concerned with studying and examining the training, qualification and knowledge needs for all university specializations and works to provide them with the help of qualified capabilities and cadres, whether from the distinguished cadres at the University or among its local and international partners.
