Sana’a – As a part of the scientific partnership among universities, His Excellency the rector of the university Professor Mojahed Ali Measar participated in the second scientific conference of Hodiedah university on “Yemeni Islands, strategic importance – biodiversity – external ambitions.”

The two-day- conference was held under the auspices of the prime minister Abdelaziz Bin-Habtoor, May 24-25, 2023, under the slogan'” our islands are the history of a nation and the sovereignty of a homeland”. The conference was attended by minister of higher education Sheik Hussien Hazeb, minister of fisheries Mr. Mohammed Al-Zubairi, minister of agriculture Eng. Abdelmalek Al-Thawour and minister of the state Dr. Hameed Al-Mezjaji.

As a representative of 21 September University, Dr. Lamia Yaqoub participated in a scientific research entitled, ” the strategic transformations in the Yemeni islands, a historical reading for a contemporay case of Socotra island, 1834 – 1967 as a model.

His Excellency the rector of the university and his entourage visited the art exhibition of the departments at fine arts faculty, and they viewed paintings produced by the departments of radio and tv, creative arts and interior design. Professor Measar was accompanied by assistant secretary-general for planning and external relations Mr. Rashad Al-Sanani and director of external relations Mr. Mohammed Jameel.
