Sana’a – Professor Mojahed Measar, rector of 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences, inspected today the damage to the university as result of air raids by the US-Saudi aggression.
The aggression warplanes targeted the university building with two raids, resulting in damage to the infrastructure of the university; classrooms, labs and offices.
During his tour of inspection , he condemned the continued systematic targeting of educational and academic facilities by the aggression, which reflects the arrogance of the aggression, its intentional destruction for civilian facilities, including universities and hospitals. He called on the United Nations and international organizations to assume their responsibilities for stopping the arrogance of the aggression and its brutal crimes against civilians and civil institutions.
Professor Measar stressed that the rectorship and the staff of the university will remain determined and steadfast in carrying out their humanitarian and national tasks and duties, accomplishing the scientific and educational mission of the university in the different faculties and building up a generation capable of serving its people and country in different medical fields.
At the same time, a protest was staged in front of the university with a participation of students, academic and adminstrative staff. They issued a statement condemning and denouncing the deliberate targeting of the university, which led to great damage to the laboratories, their equipment and devices, calling on the organizations to visit the university and see the extent of the damage inflicted on it.
