Sana’a – The Prime Minister, Prof. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, praised the accelerated success and developments achieved by 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences, in the scientific and academic fields, under its leadership, academic and administrative staff, despite the aggression and blockade on the steadfast Yemeni people. He expressed his appreciation during his participation in the ceremony organized by the university on the occasion of the inauguration of the graduate programs “MA” of the academic year 1444 AH, and the opening of the Computer and Information Technology Center at the Deanship of Environment and Community Service. He also thanked the leadership of 21 September University, deans of its faculties and heads of departments, who celebrate every year with a new scientific achievement added to the distinguished scientific momentum of the university and overcoming the challenges it faced. He regarded that as a support provided by the government and represented by the Ministry of Higher Education and its leadership. Dr. Bin Habtoor considered the success, in any institution, is achieved by the virtue of the staff and supervisors of that institution, indicating that the real achievement of the university is represented in the scientific research and graduating the qualified workforce, as it is seen in universities ,particularly, under difficult situations due to the aggression and blockade.
The Prime Minister touched on the success achieved by Yemeni universities in the liberated part, which is run by the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council and the National Salvation Government. He said, “ the others are surprised and ask how this besieged part of the country lives in a state of institutional stability and exercises its various daily activities, though its key components were hit on a daily basis by the warplanes of saudi- Emirati-American aggression, .” He addressed the university’s leadership and academics, ” today, you are inaugurating a new center and new specializations, it honors everyone, whether in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research or the Council of Ministers, and even the whole country.” He expressed his congratulations to the students of the university, its leadership, professors, deanships and rectorship on the successful academic process and the beginning of the new academic Hijri year, 1444.
For his part, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Hussein Hazeb, praised the developmental steps of 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences, the opening of the Computer and Information Technology Center at the Deanship of Environment and Community Service at Haddah Branch and graduate programs of the new academic Hijri year,1444.
For his part, the rector of the university – Head of the Supreme Medical Council, Professor Mojahed Measar, reviewed the developments that the university has witnessed during the last three years, and the qualitative leap that achieved academically, educationally, administratively, in terms of networking and automation of all university activities and services. He stressed that the university was able to overcome the difficulties and move towards the development processes, graduating two batches of medical specialties, completing the specifications of academic programs, leading to the opening of postgraduate programs in clinical pharmacy, respiratory care, and the opening of the faculty of Medical Information Technology as the first qualitative faculty in this field.
In the event, His Excellency the Prime Minister cut the opening ribbon, accompanied by senior guests, inspected the new branch of the university in Hadda and the Computer Center of the Deanship of Environment and Community Service, and listened to an explanation from those concerned about the services and programs that the Center and the Vice Rectorship for Graduate Studies will provide during the present and future periods.
At the end of the event, in the presence of the CEO of Yemen Mobile, Issam Al-Hamali, the CEO of the International Telecommunication Company, Dr. Ali Naji Nassari, the Director of the Information Technology Center, Dr. Fouad Hassan Abdelrazzaq, the rector of the University of Science and Technology, Dr. Adel AlMutawakil, vice rectors, deans and secretary general, the Prime Minister and the Ministers of Higher Education and Communications were honored with the university shields. In addition, the director of the computer center, Samira Al-Najashi and the director of public relations at the university, Mohammed Al-Risha, were also honored with two certificates of thanks in appreciation of their roles and active contributions in various fields at the university.
