● Sana’a – In its two branches located at Hezyez and 50 street, 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences received today 3600 applicants from different medical fields for doing the first medical licensing exam organized by Supreme Medical Council, 2024.
So the number of examinees who hold BA, was 1329, working as GPs, pharmacists, nurses, dentists, labs technicians, clinical pharmacists, anesthetists, radiologists, nutritionists, and midwives.
On the other hand, the number of the examinees who have diploma was 2318 working as paramedics, pharmacists, midwives,labs technicians. operations technicians, anesthetics technicians, dentistry technicians, care respiratory technicians, radiology technicians and emergencies technicians. Therefore, His Excellency the rector of the university – head of supreme medical council Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, along with a number of officials, visited the exam halls and he was fully briefed on the exam process.
In an official statement to media center at the university, Professor Measar said that getting the medical licence would reflect the success of medical staff in practising their jobs professionally. He added that these procedures would put an end to medical errors in a way that constitutes the basis of safe and effective patient care. Accordingly, there is no room in medicine for those who are ill-equipped to practise due to poor training and lack of skills.
