Sana’a- the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research honored today 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences as one of the twenty best state and private universities nationwide, in appreciation of its efforts in academic development and improving the quality of the educational process, according to the ministry’s models for the academic year 2020-2021.

The leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, represented by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr Hussein Ali Hazeb and his deputy, Dr. / Ali Yahya Sharaf Al-Din, handed over the shield of honor to the vice-rector for student affairs, Prof. Khaled Al-Moayyad during the ceremony held for honoring the best 20 Universities among 60 state and private universities.

The University was honored as it is ranked among the top five state universities at the local level, and is ranked first in terms of the index of modernization, academic development, and expansion.

For his part, Professor Khaled Almoayyed said,” this success comes at the time when the university is preparing to hold the graduation ceremonyof the first batch from the Faculty of Medicine and the third and fourth batches from the rest of other faculties, and to apply for getting the programmatic academic accreditation from the Accreditation Council and the Quality Assurance of Higher Education, stressing that this success is as the results of the efforts made by all the academic, administrative and technical staff at the university under the supervision of the leader His Excellency the rector of the university, Prof. Mojahed Ali Measar.”

Professor Al-Moayyed stated that the university has completed the process of reviewing and updating the specifications of programs and courses in accordance with the academic reference standards at the national level (NARS.v2023), which are compatible with the latest version of the standards of the World Federation of Medical Sciences (WFME).
