SANA’A – Within the framework of the development and automation processes adopted by the university leadership, represented by His Excellency Prof. Mojahed Ali Measar, rector of the university, the minister of communications and information technology, Eng. Misfer Al-Numeer and the minister of higher education and scientific research,Hussein Hazeb, launched today the academic,student and financial strategic networking project “SAR” and “Blocks System” of the faculty of human medicine and linking them with the university post office windows, which were launched for the first time as a new service in 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences.
During the inauguration, Professor Measar pointed out that the networking project would represent a fundamental pillar for developing and improving institutional performance at the university through the automation system, starting with the student electronic portal that allows him/ her to conduct and follow up all his/ her academic and financial data, and also allow the university staff to leave the traditional way of their treatments( paper transactions). He also underlined that the payment would be automatic, which contributes for enhancing transparency and saving time and effort.
For his part, the minister of communications indicated that the Yemeni Post launched its postal and financial services at the university by opening two post offices to make it easier for students to pay tuition fees and provide various financial
postal services.
To add, the minister of higher education and scientific research praised the efforts made by the university leadership, academic and administrative staff, in bringing about the desired change, expressing his happiness with the concrete steps taken by the university to automate electronic systems and linking them academically with the ministry of higher education and financially with the ministry of communications and the general post authority.
The inauguration was attended by Prof. Salim Al-Riyashi, Vice rector for higher studies, deans of the faculties, the secretary general of the university, assistant secretary general and a large number of academic and administrative staff of the university.
