June 29, 2022Sana’a – His Excellency the rector of 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences, Prof. Mojahed Ali Measar, inaugurated today the scientific seminar on respiratory care pharmacology, entitled “ The impacts of RC pharmacology on respiratory system”, which was held by vice-rectorship for graduate studies and scientific research. It is the first seminar for students who are studying in the master’s program in respiratory care at the national and regional levels. At the opening ceremony, which was attended by Prof. Salim Al-Riyashi – vice rector for graduate studies and scientific research, Prof. Khaled Al-Moayed – vice rector for student affairs, Prof. Abdul-Malik Abu Donia, dean of the faculty of clinical pharmacy – Professor of respiratory pharmacology, Prof. Nour El-Din Al-Jaber – Supervisor of the Master’s Program in respiratory care at the university and Prof. Ameera Al-Samat – a Consultant of internal medicine and thoracic diseases and a member of the academic staff of the program.In his speech on the occasion, His Excellency the rector of the university praised the management of the program and the progress of the implementation of the master’s academic plan, whose opening is a great achievement for the country, as it is the first master’s program for respiratory care in the Middle East, which aims to graduate academic and professional staff with scientific competence and scientific research, and the outputs of this program will be exploited in the academic supervision and teaching of undergraduate programs in respiratory care that were opened in a number of universities. He Pointed out that the 21 September university is the first state university to open a Bachelor of respiratory care program, benefiting from the outputs of this program as well. At the end of his speech, he stressed that the university rectorship, and vice-rectorship for graduate studies and scientific research, as well as the program supervisor will always overcome all obstacles of the students of the program to be successful one. So its success is represented in graduating a distinguished batch, scientifically and professionally, as it is an exceptional and the only batch in this field whose goal is to improve respiratory care services in hospitals and the academic process in universities that study the specialty of this field. His Excellency the rector of the university urged the vice-rectorship for graduate studies and scientific research to work on opening the remaining programs in the master of clinical pharmacy, as well as the master of medical administration and master’s programs for the faculty of nursing.For his part, Prof. Salim Al-Riyashi, vice rector for graduate studies and scientific research, welcomed the attendees, and stressed that the vice-rectorship for graduate studies and scientific research pays great attention to this program as it represents a real nucleus of the future academic staff who will specialize in respiratory care in Yemen, praising the great support of the leadership of the university, represented by His Excellency the rector of the university, stressing that this step is a new addition to the successes achieved by the university to make it an example to be followed in many fields.On the other hand, Professor Nour El-Din Al-Jaber – Supervisor of the master’s program in respiratory care at the university, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the rectorship of the university, represented by the rector Prof. Mojahed Measar – and the vice-rectorshop for graduate studies and scientific research for their great interest in the program, and stressed that the program is one of the best academic programs in its implementation and adherence to the academic plan, emphasizing the uniqueness of the program, as the respiratory care specialty is newly established in our country and has its own privacy.He also urged all students to make more efforts and continue to stick to the program plan and the need to start preparing the titles of the master’s thesis for each student in order to make use of the available time.
