SANA’A – His Excellency Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, rector of 21 September University, stressed that the health and education would be the fundamental pillars for development. At the event, he reviewed the stages of establishing the 21 September university as the first specialized medical university in Yemen, leading to the graduation of the first and second batches of 920 males and females students from different medical specialities. Professor Measar touched on the achievements made by the university such as designating the academic staff, reviewing and updating the description of academic programs and courses, activating the clinical department , adopting the application of total quality, and implementing a strategic plan for obtaining the academic program accreditation by 2023.
For his part, the member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammad Ali Al-Houthi, stressed the importance of upgrading university education and improving the quality of its outputs, in accordance with modern scientific standards and academic accreditation. He indicated, in the graduation ceremony of the first and second batches of “Yemen Hurricane” , and the inauguration of electronic systems and automatic linkage with the General Postal Authority, that 21 university for medical and applied sciences has become a lofty scientific edifice that provides the community with qualified and medical quantative cadres.
For his part, the minister of higher education and scientific research, Hussein Hazeb, considered the graduation of this galaxy of the white army, in light of the aggression and siege, as one of the fruits of 21 September University, which was born from the womb of suffering, steadfastness and challenge in the face of aggression. He touched on the stages of establishing the university in 2016 at a time the aggression was targeting that place and the surrounding areas to prevent its establishment in the south of the densely populated capital, which lacks any higher education institution.
The minister of communications and information technology ,Eng. Misfir Al-Numeer announced that the ministry of communications provided 60 computers for the electronic library of the university.
For her part, the Dean of the faculty of Medicine, Professor Salwa Al-Ghamiri, reviewed the achievements of the faculty that were represented in academic programs and courses and clinical training for 1,000 students yearly.
