Sana’a – Under the auspices of His Excellency the rector of the university Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, the second medical scientific symposium on nanotechnology in medicine was held today. It was organized by continuous learning center at deanship of environment and community service.

At the beginning of the symposium which was attended by dean of environment deanship Professor Ibrahim Al-Hamdi and dean of faculty of information technology Dr. Abdulrahman Obaid, a speech was delivered by vice-rector for academic affairs Professor Mutaia Abu-Oraij, welcoming the participants, attendees and students of faculties and centers at the university. He praised the vital role played by continuous learning center and environment deanship in carrying out their duties through providing qualifying services.

Professor Abu-Oraij stressed the importance of holding such symposiums periodically because of their significant benefit in various scientific fields.

The symposium had the following recommendations:

  1. The university must Adopt and host national, academic and scientific conference on nanotechnology and its relationship to medicine.
  2. Establishing department of nanotechnology at faculty of medical technology.
  3. Adopting nanotechnology as a subject to be taught at faculties of the university.

The symposium was attended by director of continuous learning center Dr. Yousef Al-Makhrafi, director general of academic affairs Mr. Ahmed Al-Samawi, academic staff and students.
