Sana’a – Under the auspices of minister of higher education and scientific research Mr. Hussien Hazeb, His Excellency the rector of the university Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, with wide participation of supreme political council, ministry of health represented by assistant secretary general of Yemeni council for medical specialities, supreme medical council, dean of medicine faculty at the university and a number of deans of medicine faculties at state and private universities, a workshop on publicizing specifications of BA programs of medicine and surgery (MBBS)- System (5+1) was held by faculty of medicine, cooperated with development and quality assurance center.

In the event, Mr. Mohammed Al-Nuami, member of the supreme political council gave a speech in which he praised the progress efforts made by 21 September university from time to time. He added that the university made a name for itself among Yemeni universities.

For his part, His Excellency the rector of the university Professor Mojahed Ali Measar said that the efforts of updating and reviewing the program have been made since 2021 but publicizing them has been postponed so far, to  make sure that it can be applied effectively instead of randomness. He touched on the specification the medicine program of 5+1 block system which distinguishes the university from the other ones. Professor Measar added that a such system was adopted after in-depth study for Arab and international references, then the study revealed that system is the best one used by the best universities whose ranks are high.
