○Sana’a – Under the auspices of His Excellency Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mr. Hussein Ali Hazeb and His Excellency the rector of the University Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, the Council of Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance at Higher Education partnered with Development and Quality Assurance Center at the university held today a workshop to train the university’s self-evaluation teams on (methodology and tools for preparing studies of Programmatic self-evaluation). This workshop comes within the framework of the technical support agreement signed between the university and the Academic Accreditation Council to obtain special academic (programmatic) accreditation in accordance with the standards of the World Federal Federation for Medical Sciences (WFME) in medicine and surgery, clinical pharmacy + pharma, laboratory medicine, higher nursing and medical administration.
At the launch which was attended by the vice-rector for postgraduate studies and scientific research Professor Salim Al-Riyashi, assistant to vice-rector for student affairs Professor Jamil Ahsen Mujalli, secretary-general of the council Professor Mohammed Dhaifullah, director of accreditation at the council Professor Huda Al-Sanhani , deans of faculties, their deputies, the concerned academics, and a number of the university officials. His Excellency the University rector Professor Mojahed Ali Measar confirmed that the university is keen to obtain academic accreditation. So it has done its best to prepare the requirements of the first step, in coordination and cooperation with the Academic Accreditation Council.
His Excellency the rector of the university thanked the Accreditation Council, all entities and committees meant for that respect. He said, “this step has been on the top of our priorities during the recent past period, in cooperation and coordination with the Council and those concerned at the university, and we have reached this stage, thanks to God and then thanks to all those efforts.
Professor Measar pointed out that such a development has been coincided with the successes and victories achieved by the Yemeni people in various fields.
At the event, speeches were delivered by a member of academic accreditation Professor Abdul-Aziz Al-Shoabi and dean of development center at the university Professor Muneer Al-Wasabi. They reviewed the achievements done by the university, touching on the most prominent roles led by His Excellency the rector of the university Professor Mojahed Ali Measar who has been doing more for the sake of developing all departments and fields at the university..
