Sana’a – His Excellency the rector of the university, Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, officially announced the establishment of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences. At the faculty’s announcement ceremony and the reception of the students of the first batch at the faculty, which was attended by the vice-rector for academic affairs, Professor Mutaia Abu Oraij, assistant to vice-rector for student affairs, Professo Mohammed Al-Droubi, the dean of the faculty, Professor Abdel-Salam Dallaq, and the dean of the faculty of nursing, Professor Abdel-Al-Hamid Al-Dhifani and dean of the deanship of environment and community service, Professor Ibrahim Al-Hamdi, His Excellency the rector of the university delivered a speech in which he announced the launch of the faculty of applied medical sciences, considering this faculty a qualitative and distinguished addition due to the excellence of the specializations it has included since its first year.
Professor Measar pointed out that this faculty is key to better future prospects for students, especially those who hold diplomas in the specializations approved by the faculty, noting the importance of this qualification and thus the continuation of graduate studies because the lack of jobs occurring in the health field is a reality that is not suitable for developing and providing medical service. It is a distinguished academy, which requires everyone to keep in mind that graduate studies are the first goal of the future educational process.

Professor Abdel-Salam Dallaq said that the opening of the faculty is due to the insightful vision, leadership skill, and continuous follow-up by the captain of the university ship, His Excellency the rector of the university, Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, who shortened the time by opening it in a record time.

The inauguration was attended by the deputy dean of the faculty, Dr. Fares Mahdi, a number of deputy deans, the general registrar of the university, the faculty registrar, a number of academics and officials of the faculty , and a large number of students.
