Sana’a – In the presence of His Excellency the rector of the university – head of supreme medical council Professor Mojahed Ali Measar ( as an external referee) and Professor Muneer Al-Wissabi dean of center of development and quality assurance (  as an external referee), a workshop on ” developing the academic program of faculty of medicine at Ibb university” was held today. At the workshop which was attended by the rector of Ibb university Professor Tariq Al-Mansoub, head of academic accreditation council Professor Ahmed Al-Haboub, and the national expert of quality Professor Noaman Fairouz, a speech was given by His Excellency  the rector of the university – head of supreme medical council Professor Mojahed Measar. He thanked Ibb university and faculty of medicine for holding such significant workshop that aims  at improving and enhancing the quality of the educational process in a way that ensures graduating qualified medical staff who can practise the profession well.

Professor Measar urged them to keep up with the latest methods of medical teaching such as PBL ( Problem-Based Learning), integrated learning and block system. He added that those methods and systems achieved success locally and regionally.

Professor Measar touched on the experience of 21 September University in using those qualitative methods that have proven effective. He also thanked all academic and administrative staff who participated, prepared and carried out the workshop, and he wished them success.
