Sana’a – His Excellency the rector of the university – head of the supreme medical council Professor Mojahed Ali Measar participated today in the preliminary consultative meeting of the concerned institutions of medical education, such as state and private universities and health institutes. The meeting was chaired by the prime minister – head of the supreme council for higer edcation Professor Abdul-Aziz Bin-Habtoor.
The prime minister delivered a speech in which he stressed the importance of enhancing the complementary roles among the ministeries meant for education and the relevant authorities so as to improve the edcational process through qualifying and training effective outputs capable of serving comprehensive development.

The meeting was dedicated to solidifying the coordination among those institutions in order to improve the quality of medical education according to standards of academic accreditation and the international federation of medical edcation.

For his par, His Excellency the rector of the university – head of supreme medical council professor Mojahed Measar stressed the importance of having the sense of responsibility in enhancing the quality of medical education especially in the light of the wide gap and the lack of medical staff.

Professor Measar touched on the teamwork in which all the concerned institutions are collectively responsible for doing the best to overcome the obstacles depending on available resources.

The meeting was attended by minister of health Professor Taha Al-Motawakel; minister of higher education and scientific research Mr. Hussien Hazeb; minister of technical education and vocational training Mr. Qazi Ahmed Ali Mohsen; minister of state ( portfolio) Dr. Hameed Al-Mazjaji; deputy minister of higher education Professor Ali Sharef-Addeen; rector of Sana’a university Professor Al-Qassim Abbas; vice rector for academic affairs Professor Mutaia Abu-Oraij; dean of faculty of medicine Professor Salwa Al-Qumairi; secretary of academic accreditation council Professor Mohammed Dhaifullah; and assistant secretary general of the university Mr. Rashad Al-Sanani.
