Sana’a – His Excellency the rector of the university, head of the Supreme Medical Council, Prof. Mojahed Ali Measar, participated in the opening and activities of the Fourth Scientific Conference on General and Laparoscopic Surgery, which is organized by the Yemeni Society of surgeons. In two days and with the participation of more than 600 consultants and specialists, the conference discusses 40 research papers and a scientific working paper related to laparoscopic surgery according to the latest technologies, information and scientific research in this qualitative specialization.

During the second day of the conference, the scientific developments in the field of different laparscoic surgeries were reviewed.

In the opening session of the conference, His Excellency the Minister of Public Health and Population, Prof.Taha Al-Mutawakel, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants who came from different governorates of Yemen, that reflects the national cohesion and the greatness status of Yemen, as well as leaving out international hegemony and arrogance and proving the state of national steadfastness.

His Excellency the Minister of Health called on all medical societies to hold such scientific conferences, as the country needs scientific breakthrough. Dr. Al-Mutawakel blessed the success achieved by the Yemeni Board of Medical Specializations in various medical scientific programs.
