Sana’a – Under the auspices of His Excellency the rector of the university Professor Mojahed Measar, the university sports competitions (football, ping-pong, chess, and volleyball),of the academic year 1444 AH, were launched today at 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences. Those competitions are organized by general management of activities. They started with opening the first football match between the team of faculty of medicine and team of faculty of nursing. The match ended in a victory for faculty of medicine with 4 to 1 goals.

The event was attended by vice rector for academic affairs, Professor Mutaia Abu-Oraij; assistant to vice rector for academic affairs, Professor Jamil Mujalli; assistant to vice rector for student affairs, Professor Mohammed Al-Droubi; dean of faculty of medicine, Professor Salwa Al-Qumairi; dean of faculty of nursing, Professor Abdul-Hameed Al-Thaifani; dean of faculty of clinical pharmacy, Professor Ali Al-Yahwi; secretary general of the university, Mr. Abdul-Qaher Al-Asali; coach of the team, Mr. Ali Al-Nono; a number of directors and officials at the university.
