Sana’a – Under the auspices of His Excellency the rector of the university Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, an outreach event about about the importance of medical tests was opened today by vice-rector for academic affairs Professor Mutaia Abu-Oraij.
The event was supervised by dean of faculty of laboratory medicine Professor Ibtisam Al-Zabeedi, and organized by the students of the sixth batch at the faculty. It aimed to get the students acquire knowledge of the importance of periodic laboratory tests and their relation with exact diagnosis.
The students and staff did free tests for blood group and glucose.
The event included a number of activities in the following fields:
- Main field: ( ABO)
- Immunity field: ( Rheumatoid arthritis)
- Biochemistry field ( Cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose)
- Blood field ( Iron deficiency anemia)
Then, the students handed out Leaflets on those fields.
After that,the event included the field of virtual world in which a scene, about the diseases, was watched through binoculars of virtual reality. Finally, there was also a scientific competition in which three winners had free laboratory tests at the specialized labs of eye.
