Sana’a – His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Hussein Ali Hazeb, praised the success and achievements made by 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences. He added,” despite the lack of potentiality and staff, the university could pull off the task vested on it.”
The appreciation was expressed following the presentation of the annual report of 21 September University at the Ministry of Higher Education, in the presence of His Excellency the rector of the university, Prof. Mojahed Ali Measar.
So,the presentation was one of the activities of the annual meeting that discussed the reports of Yemeni universities 20/2021, which was organized by the planning and policies Department, and the education affairs department at the ministry.
His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education said, “ there is a great leadership at 21 September University represented by the rector professor Mojahed Measar, who made the presence of the university felt through attempting the impossiblity.
Regarding the annual report of 21 September University , Hazeb said, “it is a distinguished report that holds up the head, and I wished it had been presented to the higher authorities because it proves true the efforts made by the university and the ministry, and it is necessary to reconsider fairly the issue of the university’s budget and adopting jobs its academic and administrative staff .”
During the presentation which was attended by the vice rector of the university for academic affairs, Prof. Dr. Mutaia Abu-Oraij, and the secretary general of, Mr. Abdul-Qaher Al-Asali, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Ali Yahya Sharaf Al-Din, praised the report that was presented, and said, “21 September University , has taken wonderful steps, represented by its leadership and staff who were able to sail the ship safely, and paint an excellent portrait of success, amidist the tidal waves that were on their journey, that were represented by the aggression, siege, lack of budget etc.”
The Deputy Minister of Higher Education stressed the importance of pursuing graduate studies and scientific research programs to bridge the existing gap in many medical and applied specialties, especially the unavailable.
For his part, His Excellency the rector of the university, Prof. Mojahed Ali Measar, thanked the leadership of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, that works hard, follows up and achieves the tasks in this important academic educational field.
Professor Measar said, “We, at th university of revolution, have been working hard, with Allah’s help, and exert efforts to improve the educational process, and we carry out all plans approved by the Ministry and its affiliates. So, we work as one system whose goal is success first.”
His Excellency the rector of the university touched on the unfair international classification of universities, which does not in any way reflect the achievements and development in academic educational institutions, but rather depends on facile standards and criteria that depend in their information and estimates on entities that cannot be aware of the success being achieved. He said, “ the ministry must have local benchmarks, for evaluating Yemeni universities, that will be more accurate and more credible, through which our voice will be heard our respect will be gained.
Professor Measar pointed to the importance of creating broader areas of competition among universities in various scientific, sports and creative aspects, and the ministry has to adopt them to create a spirit of competition and creativity.
Professor Muneer Al-wessabi reviewed the contents of the report of the university. The report included general objectives, policies and regulations of the university. The event was attended by the advisor to the rector of the university Mr. Abdelrahman Al-Yahyairi, director general of the rector’s office, Mr. Hussien Naji Al-Shaikh, director general of academic affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Samawi, director general of media and general relations, Dr. Khaled Jobran and the chairman of external relations, Mr. Mohammed Jameel.
