Sana’a – A course in ideal secretariat was organized today by center of computer and information technology, deanship of environment and community service. The course was trained by director general of the rector’s office Mr. Hussien Al-Shaikh and manager of archive Ms. Samah Al-Harazi. It targeted the secretarial staff at offices of vice-rectors, faculties, deanship of environment and its centers, secretariat-general and all general-managements.
The course entitled, ” the successful and ideal secretariat is a process and practice”, was conducted upon the directives of His Excellency the rector of the university Professor Mojahed Ali Measar for adopting the successful performance carried out by the secretarial staff at the rector’s office for filing and organizing the incoming documents and memos.
The workshop focused on the following themes:
- Avoiding randomness in the adminstrative departments.
-Organizing the tasks that are vested upon department secretariats.
–Developing the concept of the staff’s understanding related to their duties.
- Creating a safe work environment.
-Adopting the culture of commitment to discipline, punctuality, sense of institutional belonging and teamwork.
- Setting up a suitable mechanism to hand and pass out the memos through using numbers and receipt note.
- Training the staff how to summarize, write the abbreviations and hand the incoming documents promptly to the head of department.
