Sana’a – A seminar on cybersecurity and its importance was organized today by deanship of environment and community service represented by computer and information technology center in cooperation with Yemeni ITCU.

At the opening of the seminar, which was held at the branch of university in Hadda, in the presence of the director general of the computer and information technology center, Eng. Samira Al-Najashi, Eng. Muthanna Al-Zamzmi, coordinator of the union, and a large number of interested people, the dean of the deanship of environment and community service, Prof. Ibrahim Al-Hamdi, delivered a speech in which he conveyed the greetings of His Excellency the rector of the university, Prof. Mojahed Ali Measar to the participants in the seminad and he wished them the best.

Professor Al-Hamdi also touched on the importance of the university’s partnership with the relevant authorities and institutions to come out with the greatest benefit in all fields related to the objectives, mission and vision of the university.

Professor Al-Hamdi stressed also the importance of such seminar in the field of cybersecurity and its direct connection to reality in light of the rapid development of such field in the various details of life. The dean of the deanship of environment concluded his speech by thanking the computer and information technology center and the information technology union for coordinating and preparing for this semibar and for recognizing the importance of holding and benefiting from it.

A number of speeches were given in the seminar in which they stressed the importance of such seminar and the role of cybersecurity in the life of society and its protection from attacks and breaches and their potential risks.
