Sana’a – His Excellency the rector of the university, Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, along with the officials of the university honored today the winners of first university debating championship organized by university of science and technology, and with participation of 12 state and private universities.

In the event attended by a large number of university officials, championship organizers and debating club students and university of science and technology, His Excellency the rector of the university delivered a speech in which he congratulated the team who won the title that would be added to the list of championships achieved by the university in a number of competitions and activities.

Professor Mojahed Measar praised the distinguished organization for the championship supervised by university of science and technology through which it was impartial in treating all rivals equally, and consequently, the title of championship was awarded to the best.

Professor Measar thanked vice-rectorship for student affairs, faculty of medicine, secretary general and all entities that supported, followed up and coordinated for the team of the university since the first day of debating. He confirmed that the university is going to establish debating club because of its importance in developing and increasing the students’ knowledge.

Two speeches were delivered by vice rector for student affairs professor Khaled Al-Moayyed and dean of faculty of medicine Professor Salwa Al-Qumairi, indicating the importance of those activities and competitions as well as the abilities and skills showed by students of 21 September university in different topics of debating. They thanked the rector of the university, Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, for his supporting, following up and interesting in honoring team who were the select group of the students. So the names of the team are Jobran Al-Zaidar, Rodaina Abdulmoqni, Ala’a Suhail, and Raiyseer Al-Maqtari.

At the end of ceremony, the winners honored His Excellency the rector of the university with the championship shield, then the rector of the university honored the winners with certificates of appreciation and financial reward.
