Sana’a – 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences received today 3200 medical personnel, holding BA and diploma, who did the second medical licensing exam organized by Supreme Medical Council, 2023.
His Excellency the head of Supreme Medical Council Professor Mojahed Ali Measar stated that the number of examinees, holding BA, was 1453 classified as follows: 452 GPs, 280 Pharmacists, 115 nurses, 176 dentists, 183 labs technicians, 138 clinical pharmacists, 38 anesthetists, 17 radiologists, 40 nutritionists, and 14 midwives. On the other hand, the number of the examinees who have diploma was 1433 classified as follows: 556 paramedics, 313 pharmacists, 241 midwives, 203 labs technicians. 43 operations technicians, 41 anesthetics technicians, 26 dentistry technicians, 18 care respiratory technicians, 16 radiology technicians and 12 emergencies technicians.
Professor Measar indicated that the success and competency of the medical personnel are represented in the honour of getting the medical licensing.
In the launch which was attended by vice-rector for student affairs Professor Khaled Al-Moayyed, vice-rector for academic affairs Professor Mutaia Abu-Oraij, vice-rector for postgraduate studies Professor Salim Al-Reyashi, deans of faculties and their deputies, secretary general and his assistants, the secretary general of medical council Dr. Fadia Al- Dailmi pointed out that the council is the sole authorized instititution which grants the licences for medical personnel after going through the procedures through which the documents are checked and verified. She mentioned that the exams are prepared according to the specialization. In addition, the new graduates from universities and instititutes and licensing renewal are subjected to those procedures.
