●Sana’a – 21 September University for Medical and Applied Sciences marked today the International Muslim Women’s Day, which coincides with the birth anniversary of the Lady of the Women of the World, Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her.
The event wad organized by vice-rectorship for student affairs represented by the general management of activities and the university student forum and under the slogan “You Are Not Alone,”.
In the event, Professor Salwa Al-Kumairi, dean of faculty of medicine, gave a speech in which she stressed the importance of commemorating such great occasion to enhance awareness among Muslim women of the importance of Fatima Al-Zahra, peace be upon her. She pointed that Fatima has been occupying a great position as a modal of Muslim woman and the Lady of the Women of the World. She also spoke about her social, educational and pedagogical role within Medina.
The event included various chants about such an important occasion. It was attended by dean of faculty of laboratory medicine, Professor Ibtisam Al-Zabeedi, a number of official at the university’s women’s staff, and a large group of female students.
