Sana’a – Under the auspices of His Excellency Professor Mojahed Measar, the rector of the university, cultural celebration and bazaar were organized today on the occasion of inaugurating the new year 1444 AH.At the beginning of the ceremony, which was organized by the faculty of medicine and under supervision of the dean Professor Salwa Al-Qumairi, the attendees stood together a minute of silence to mourn the death of the martyr Khaled Al-Hadrami, a student in the facullty of nursing, who was martyred in the fields of Jihad for defending the dignity and pride of the homeland.His Excellency the rector of the university gave a speech in which he expressed his happiness for holding this ceremony, which reflects the spirit of loyalty and belonging to the revolution university, praising the role of the faculty of medicine and all its staff for preparing and organizing this event. Professor Measar referred to the unprecedented steps that the university has been achieving in many fields, which were taken part by every one in this scientific edifice. He also thanked all the honorable people in the country for their cooperation, in particular the revolutionary and political leadership and the government for direct support and continuous follow-up for the university accomplishments.Professor Measar noted that 21 September University is proud of being the first university in the country that started adopting the Hijri calendar since the first day of the official working day of the Hijri year 1444 AH, as directed by the revolutionary and political leadership.For their parts, the dean of faculty of medicine, Professor Salwa Al-Qumairi, and the dean of development and quality assurance center, Professor Moneer Al-Wasabi gave two speeches in the event. They appreciated the resounding success achieved by the leadership and staff of the university.At the end of the ceremony, a number of distinguished staff and students were honored. After that, His Excellency the rector of the university, along with a number of university officials, inaugurated the charitable bazaar that was organized for the benefit of cancer patients
