Sana’a – Under the auspices of His Excellency the rector of the university, Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, a big celebration was held today on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of Al-Zahra’a, peace be upon her. (International Muslim Women’s Day)

In the event attended by His Excellency the rector of the university, Professor Mojahed Ali Measar; vice rector for academic affairs,Professor Mutaia Abu-Oraij; vice rector for student affairs, Professor Khaled Al-Moayyed; assistants to vice rectors; deans of faculties, and their deputies, and a vast crowd of staff; Professor Salwa Al-Qumairi, dean of faculty of medicine, gave a speech on behalf of the rector of the university, mentioning the great stances of the lady Fatima Al-Zahra’a, peace be upon her.

Al-Qumairi also touched on the life and sacrifices of the daughter of Islam’s prophet, describing her as the best role model for muslim women.

The event included a lot of speeches, footage about the virtues of Al-Zahra’a (pbuh), chants and poems.
