○ Today, 21 Septembe University – Faculty of Medicine hosted the scientific symposium on arthroscopic surgery organized by the Yemeni Association of Orthopedics under the supervision of the Supreme Medical Council and September 21 University – Faculty of Medicine.
In the symposium that was attended by assistant to vice rector for academic affairs Professor Jamil Mojalli, dean of medicne faculty Professor Salwa Al-Kumair, dean of environment and community service Professor Ibrahim Al-Hamdi, deputy dean of medicine faculty Professor Mohammed Al-Eryani and secretary-general of medicine faculty Mr. Abdul-Kareem Al-Akehali; His Excellency the rector of the university, Professor Mojahed Ali Measar, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the participants in the symposium, explaining that its holding represents an opportunity to develop the scientific and medical skills of Yemeni doctors in orthopedics and arthroscopy. Professor Measar stressed the importance of organizing such scientific workshops to exchange experiences and learn about everything new in this specialty in a way that benefits patients, especially in light of the circumstances that the country is going through. He appreciated the efforts of specialists and consultants in orthopedics, arthroscopy, various specialties, medical and health staff for their steadfastness in providing services and alleviating the suffering of the citizens, stressing the need to build up the citizen’s confidence in the Yemeni doctor and services.
It is worth noting that the symposium was attended by an elite group of doctors and specialists in the field of orthopedics and arthroscopy from various governorates of the Republic of Yemen, who in turn presented their contributions related to the latest research and techniques in the field of orthopedic surgery, and the latest treatment methods for it. The symposium aims to develop orthopedic surgery, raise the level of this field, and learn about everything new.
At the the end of the symposium, the participants recommended continuing to hold medical conferences and scientific workshops by preparing an executive action plan to hold training courses exchange experiences in the field of orthopedic and joint surgery in order to raise the level of performance of orthopedists in all governorates according to available capabilities.
