Exploring emerging concepts in the use of dietary supplements to support oral health, with a focus on their interactions with oral microbiology and the immune system, has considerable importance in our current era, due to the demanding lifestyles and medical conditions (involving dentistry). Vitamins and minerals are essential micronutrients that the body needs to function properly. The body can produce neither, but must be obtained through diet or supplements. Recent research highlights the role of probiotics, prebiotics, vitamins, and plant-based compounds in modulating the oral microbiome, enhancing mucosal immunity, and reducing inflammation. The presentation reviews scientific evidence on the effectiveness of these supplements in preventing dental caries, periodontal disease, and oral infections. Emphasis is placed on the mecha1nisms of action, clinical applications, and the need for evidence-based integration into dental practice.
